Mentor Wise organises residential retreats for children and young people across the UK. The retreat take place during the winter and summer holidays, lasting between three and ten days, depending on the age group of the mentees.

The purpose of these retreats is to teach young people responsibility, self-discovery, and personal growth through fun and informative activities. The programmes include book reading sessions, discussion circles, and skill-building activities. Whereby, the mentees start their holidays with a productive and enriching programme.

Additionally, area managers and directors organised a UK-wide retreat for mentors every Summer, aimed at providing essential training. The programme covered key topics, including:

· The importance of mentoring

· How to prepare for mentoring sessions

· Safeguarding

· Health and safety

· Behaviour management

· Understanding child psychology

This retreat provided an excellent opportunity for mentors to connect with peers from different parts of the UK. They shared experiences, gained new insights, and found motivation to continue making a positive impact in their communities.
