Mentor Wise female mentees from Hull and North London went on a trip to Uganda with our sister organisation named Time to Help UK.
Our mentees visited a tailoring course, where they met with students, observed classes, and reviewed sample garments created by the students. Additionally, they inaugurated a toilet project at Namataba Secondary School in Mukono District and distributed reusable sanitary pads to high school students. These pads will provide the girls with a year’s worth of support.
Furthermore, the opening of a water well at Kalebera Primary School in Jinja District was carried out with great enthusiasm. This well will serve 1,300 students, ensuring they no longer have to spend time fetching water and allowing them to focus more on their education.
